I heard the sad news of Oscar De La Renta’s passing late last night and it brought back memories of when I was studying Fashion Merchandising at the Fashion Institute of Canada a very long time ago. Mr De La Renta was one of the first fashion designers that I studied and admired for his beautiful fashions that personified lady-like style.

He certainly was a very debonair gentleman. I love this quote from him:
Rest in peace Mr De La Renta – your legendary fashions and style will live forever!
